Ugly Dip

This warm, cheesy dip is a crowd pleaser every time.





Author's Notes:

  • I do not recommend making this recipe dairy free.  

Ugly Dip


Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 lb sausage

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce

  • 1 small can (4 oz.) green chilies, chopped

  • 1-2 Jalapenos, chopped (optional)

  • To taste: garlic powder, salt, and pepper


Directions


1. Place cubed Velveeta in slow cooker or double boiler on low.

2. In a large skillet, brown beef, sausage and onion. Drain well.

3. Pour beef mixture into slow cooker.

4. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

5. When cheese is melted it is ready to serve.

Use gluten-free cream of mushroom soup. Make sure processed cheese is gluten-free.

 



It is not recommended to replace the cheese in this recipe, unless you have experience with plant based cheeses. Dairy-free cream of mushroom soup.

 

Omit meat or replace meat with equal amount of plant based meats or mushrooms.

Sauté with a little fennel for a sausage flavor. Sauté vegetables before adding to dip.
